The DDT is excellent for overhead concrete testing

Features & Applications:

The DDT Concrete Delamination Testing Tool is a non-destructive testing tool to determine the extent of delamination or debonding in concrete, and to test for the possibility of a void beneath tile, masonry, terra-cotta, or other hard surface. It is most reliable when the void is present at a maximum depth of 4-6" from the surface. Current technology to test for the above problems is normally accomplished via two distinct methods; the chain-drag for flat surfaces, and the hammer or other "tool" (metal rod, golf club, etc.) for vertical and overhead surfaces. The Hammer tapping method is combined with the tedious and potentially dangerous repetitive climbing of a ladder in order to reach the overhead areas.

The DDT Concrete Delamination Testing Tool is a revolutionary, time and labor saving tool that utilizes rotary percussive action (ie. the tapping of many small hammers) in order to find the problem area through changes in the sound emitted as a result of running the tool over the surface. This is similar to listening for sound differences via the chain or hammer methods.

Features:

  • Identifies concrete delamination and membrane debonding
  • Detects voids under virtually any hard surface
  • Helps avoid repetitive motion injuries
  • Reduces wrist strain, and prevents accidents caused by excessive climbing up and down ladders.
  • Includes 7 foot extension pole for long reach.

Applications:

Concrete slabs, columns, walls, beams, tile surfaces, masonry, etc.

Note: Crayon not included
